Kiteboards

In kiteboarding, there are two major factors that you need to get right to enjoy the sport - the right kite and the right board. When it comes to your board, you need something light and durable, with the right amount of surface area to keep you planing across the top of the water, taking into consideration your body weight and the size of the kite you'll be using.

Types of boards:

Twin-tip
Often the best choice for beginners because their symmetrical design lets you ride both directions, eliminating the need to jibe. These boards excel in a variety of conditions, from waves to flat water.

Directional
Surf-style directional kiteboards make riding waves with a kite feel very similar to riding a surfboard. These revolutionary designs allow kiters to do unimaginable maneuvers in large surf.

Wake-Style
From concave shapes to six-fin designs for greater edging ability, wakeboard-style designs are truly groundbreaking. For a retro kick, full-wrap boots are sometimes used instead of foot straps.
